CHAIR FOR DORSET & SALISBURY REGION
Our Dorset & Salisbury CEO/MD group meets on a monthly basis at Captains Club in Poole, where there is a synergy for growth, underpinned with implementing the best business practices to ensure an effective workforce, allowing their CEO/MD to work on the business and not in it.
Our Expert Speakers conduct workshops tailored to each individual attending for expedient application, together with our board sessions offering collaborative advice on your business issues or opportunities. It is lonely at the top & 12 heads are better than 1!
If you’re ready to unlock your potential and work with other like-minded leaders, in a non-competing (1 seat per industry), but inspirational environment for collective learning and interested in meeting our Members whom are both challenging and supportive; I would love to hear from you. We welcome SME’s in private, public and family run enterprises.
Our monthly meetings leave our Members feeling enthusiastic for knowledge applicable for their individual businesses, trust in those selected and qualified to attend and that The Academy does as it says on the tin: Unlocking potential for ‘Future Fit’ Leaders with our life-long learning programme and 360 strategy support 1-2-1’s. I can go to the group with a pretty thorny problem, usually one that I couldn’t tackle with anyone at work, and gain unbiased but caring opinion.
As a leader it needs to start with you, spending time and money on yourself is a good return for your business.
Being part of the group has changed the way I think and communicate resulting in increased productivity from my team.
It’s the most valuable day I ever spend out of the business a month.
In the increasingly fast-paced world of business leadership it is our duty to always be working on the gap between our conscious incompetence so that it becomes our unconscious competence – ACE bridges that gap and allows me to face our challenges with confidence.
Speaking for the Academy for Chief Executives (ACE) enables me to work with business leaders who are keen to learn and are able to act on suggestions that are made in the sessions. I have the privilege of both challenging and being challenged by some of the UK’s best business leaders.
I have been an ACE Chairman for 16 years now and can honestly say the quality of my life improved from the moment I became involved. I learnt more, got inspired more and work with a wonderful group of people who, with the support we provide, are succeeding more all the time and are great to be with.
Having been a member for five years, I wanted to bring ACE to South Yorkshire to give local leaders an opportunity to benefit from membership in the way I had. Being a Chairman is a real privilege that enables me to co-learn with my members, and continue to strive to be the best.
